Swinging

Today was such a GORGEOUS day!  Temps were in the low 70s and it was gloriously sunny.  The kids were all in shorts and flip-flops.  We let the wood stove go out, the doors were flung open wide, and we emerged from our cozy winter den to do some yardwork and detail/declutter the Suburban.

Even Philip was out, enjoying the day.

He cut his first tooth yesterday, by the way.  He's 6 1/2 months old.

Puppies Galore!

A very nice lady we know invited us over to play with her puppies...she breeds dachshunds, and had two litters totaling seven puppies.

When we went for a visit, they were about six weeks old,
toddling all over the place.

Clare thought they looked like potatoes with legs.

Here is Noelle petting one of the mamas.
They were just as sweet and good-natured as the pups.
We could have stayed forever.

Theresa couldn't bear to say goodbye.

Today, Noelle...

decided to teach herself the Greek alphabet.
