Happy 4th Birthday, Regina!

Regina's Fourth birthday cake was a Candyland masterpiece!

Here is Philip, devastated that he isn't allowed to climb up on the chair and get his paws on the cake.

Christmas Village 2014

As a surprise, we took the kids to Christmas Village, where there's a million jillion lights.  You walk through winding paths past myriad themed Christmas displays, and at the end they funnel you past gift shops and hot cocoa vendors to part with whatever money you have left after the price of admission.  It was a good visit, though, even though I have few photos to prove it.  My camera battery pooped out after the first round of snaps.

First Snowfall.

First snowfall of last "winter", taken November 26.  It was first thing in the morning, and they are all still in their pjs!

Notes From Noelle.

I found this heart-rending note lying around this week, written for her big brother Brian, who has been away since May.

And if that was too sickening for you, look at the one I found next.

Quips From A Three-Year-Old.

I have to write this down to remember this.

Regina woke up this morning, yawned and stretched, and said, completely spontaneously:

Regina:  Where's Daddy?
Me:  At work, but he'll be home tonight.
Regina:  I'm not whining, because I still have a Mom parent at home with me.

And last night, after hearing her sisters say how they loved me all they way to the sky and the moon, she said to me, "Well, I love you all the way to Texas and behind my back!"

Scarlett.

Some pictures of our granddaughter, Scarlett, from this autumn.  She is almost two years old, even though she's the size of Regina, who's almost four.

Here she is during a visit to our house, being fawned over by all her aunties, and mauled by Uncle Philip. :)

Daredevil.

In June, he learned to crawl.

In August, he started to walk.

And now, all he wants to do is climb.

First he climbed up the tailgate.  Then he stood on the siderail.  Then he tried to get up on the roof.

Then he climbed through the window into the cab.

THEN he tried to climb back  out into the pickup bed through the window.

We almost thought he wasn't going to make it.

NOW what are you going to do?

My Husband.

He's still got it!

In August...

Conor turned 16 and passed his permit test
without any trouble at all.

Andy took him and his sweetheart Emily to Scranton to see the a RailRunners minor league baseball game in the UGI box.

Sarah and her boyfriend Jeremy went up to Great Lakes

to visit Brian.

Philip fell asleep in Andy's arms
for maybe the second time ever.

Sarah and I took all the girls and Philip

to Ocean City and to see Granddad & Pat

before Sarah had to go back to college

Sarah, Noelle & Regina

(for her last first day!).

Sleepy Phil with the tide coming in!

We buried my mom.

Jennifer drove up from Texas for the funeral
with her Dad & Mom, Jason, Ian, Sophia & Kevin.

Here is Regina playing with her god-brother, Kevin.

Conor broke his leg.

And Phil turned one.  :)

Phil started to take a few steps the week before his birthday, and can now take up to a dozen.

We also discovered that he is quite the camera ham, as you can plainly see.
