I know this is a trivial issue, but in my house it's a long-standing source of aggravation.
This picture depicts how I prefer my school table carousel to look: well-stocked with scissors, pencils, scissors, pens, rulers, sharpeners and scissors. We can't have enough scissors in this house. Unfortunately, it only looked like this for the few minutes it took me to snap the picture. Most of time, there are safety scissors strewn throughout the house - bathroom, yard, living room, bedrooms, under beds - and when we need a pair (or three), it's like a game of "Now Where Did I See That Pair of Scissors?"
At least they're (mostly) out of the cutting-hair-and-clothing stages.
